Robert Duane Pedersen

Robert Duane Pedersen of Fort Worth passed from this life Sunday, July 31, 2011, surrounded by his wife, Kathryn, and his children. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7620 Baker Blvd., Fort Worth. Memorials: May be made in his honor to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra or Calvary Lutheran Church. Bob was born Aug. 5, 1933, in St. Paul, Minn. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved music and was passionate in his support and appreciation of symphony orchestras and opera in both St. Paul and Fort Worth. He enjoyed gardening, worldwide travel with his family and his Danish heritage. He retired from a lifelong career with the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1995. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, P. Einer and Helen Fargeman Pedersen. Survivors: His wife of nearly 50 years, Kathryn Elaine Peterson Pedersen; children, Ann (Tom Schroeder), Niels (Amna Hussain) and Erik (fiancee Nora Schlub); sister, Janet (Carl Kuhrmeyer); granddaughters, Maren, Siri and Elsa Schroeder, Naadirah and Aaliya Pedersen; and beloved nieces and nephews.
