Robert Peeke Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 19, 2022.
Robert (Bob) Peeke grew up in Lynnfield Massachusetts with his mother Marion, father Ernest, and siblings Allan, Dianne, Nancy and Douglas.

He served with honor in the United States Navy as a gunner's mate during the Vietnam conflict. Robert was a skilled engineer in the aerospace and nuclear industries, with several tool patents related to his work.

He was a proud father to Melissa Haley (Simon Haley) and Steven Peeke (Ashley Peeke), who survive him, as well as a loving grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed traveling to family get-togethers to spend time with his extended family.

Bob enjoyed photography, science fiction, models, and novels. He was always looking forward with wonder at the fruits of scientific progress.

Bob had been active in the local VFW and American Legion for many years, and engaged in competitive pistol marksmanship.

His generous nature is evidenced by his donation of his physical body to science. As such, his remains will not be available for several months after his passing.

Instead of a burial service a memorial dinner for friends and family is planned to celebrate his life Friday, August 26, 7pm at O'Connors restauraunt in Worcester MA. (Subject to change)

Bob was always so sweet. And would tell me all about his family and gatherings. I worked with him at Quest for the last many years. I'm sad I missed the notice about dinner. I hope you all had a good time and know he loved his family so very much. My prayers go out to you all.
