When I arrived at Shelton's on this a.m. I found out about Philip. I was so sorry to learn of his death and passing. Philip has performed his miracles on my hair for over 30 years!! What a feat!! In all that time we came to know each other very well. He was always interested in what was happening in my life and made me feel special! I will miss his warmth and tenderness as I know all of his family and friends will. Special prayers and love to Tim, Philip's family and friends.

The news of Philip's death has shaken me. Philip was a vibrant person:at home, at work, and in the community. He brought out the best in people by setting high standards for himself. It was always a pleasure and privilege to sit in his chair and learn about his creative endeavors. I will miss him terribly. We will meet again, my friend.

Man, Im gonna miss sitting in your chair, letting you make me feel beautiful while we talked about everything. You were truly an artist with a vision, not just with hair but with life. You had such a kind and generous spirit about you. I will miss our laughs, my great haircuts, and your comforting hug when our time was done. Adieu my friend. Deepest Condolences to Tim, Phils families, friends and co workers

Philip was a wonderful human being and I will miss his sense of humor and generous nature. He cut my wife's hair; she recommended him to me and I became a loyal fan. I always looked forward to our talks. My wife would come home after being at Shelton's and my first question was always, "what did you and Philip talk about". My 3 daughters delighted in their talks on fashion and old movies with him as well. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Rest in peace my friend!

I came to Sheltons after asking someone whom I had never met about her wonderful haircut when I was out shopping one day. She referred me to Philip. I received more than wonderful haircuts from him. We shared interest in cooking and travel. And I learned much about living each day to the fullest by his example. I will certainly miss my friend.

I will simply always miss him.
Being in his chair was a practice in meditation for me. His calm, peaceful, generous spirit blessed me each time I was there. His mindful attention to detail sets the example for all, no matter the task at hand or chosen profession. The grace with which he fought his illness is yet another life lesson from Philip.
I will simply always miss him.

My heart is heavy and filled with sadness. I have been Philip's client for over 25 years. Words cannot express how much I will miss our laughter and friendship. This season was always is favorite time to decorate and plan his holiday menus. Sending prayers for Tim, the family and his many friends during this time of sorrow and pain.

Phillip was the most loving and positive person that I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was my hair stylist for most oh his career and I will truly miss him.I looked forward to my appointment each month. I will never forget all our conversations about his recipes for the next holiday and how he was planning to get out all his decorations. God bless you Phillip and may God look over you.

Philip was a wonderful person, treasured by everyone whose life he touched. He gave our children their first haircuts 19 years ago - and always remembered to ask them about something they liked. We always left feeling lighter. We had serious discussions about Christmas decorations, the way he wound thousands of lights around the tree branches and my crazy dozen trees. We moved away - but every time we were in town we made an appointment. We send Our deepest condolences to Tim and the rest of his family and friends. Our hearts are with you.

Philip not only was my wonderful hair stylist, but a dear, dear friend. I looked forward to 'my haircuts' because I knew that I would be spending special time with Philip. His incredible sense of humor kept me laughing uncontrollably at times; and I have a long list of recipes and cooking tips that he shared with me.
Yes, he was a true artist...a knowledgeable lover of the arts. I will sorely miss my dear friend. I am certain that heaven will be more beautiful now, just as soon as Philip can use his talents there. Good bye, dear Philip.
