Robert Pitman

Robert Don Pitman, 76, of Brandon, MS, passed away on August 2, 2023. Born on December 7, 1946, in Jackson, MS, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert retired from Eaton Aerospace after 27 years of dedicated service. He served in the US Army Reserves for 6 years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Robert was a man of many talents and interests. He loved working on his antique 1964 Malibu Chevelle, fishing, and exploring estate sales. He always found projects around his home to keep himself busy.

In addition to his career and hobbies, Robert was a pillar of support for his family. He tirelessly attended various events and activities to cheer on his loved ones, including football, softball, soccer, baseball, and volleyball games, cheerleading competitions, Boy Scouts, piano recitals, and beauty pageants.

Robert was a member of Lake Harbour Church of Christ, where he found solace and strength in his faith. His devotion to his religion was an important aspect of his life.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mae Rene (Pigg) Pitman; his children, Robert Byron Pitman and wife Melissa, Anna Pitman Burnham and husband Greg ; his grandchildren, Anna Katherine DeSalvo, Robert Preslee Pitman, Matthew Gregory Burnham, and Katelyn Nicole Burnham. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Florence Williams; his father, Byron Leroy Pitman; his brothers, George Edward Pitman and William Leroy Pitman; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Sally Pitman.

A celebration of Roberts life will be held on August 12, 2023, at Lake Harbour Church of Christ, located at 338 Lake Harbour Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157, visitation will start at 11:00 AM., celebration of life will begin at 11:45 AM.

Robert Don Pitman will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
