Robert "Greig" Placette
December 14, 1948 - August 26, 2013

Greig Placette age 64 from Katy, Texas and a native of Port Arthur, Texas courageously died Monday, August 26, 2013. Greig graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967 and a Business Graduate from Lamar University. He was President and owner of Houston General Trading Company and an active member of numerous business organizations and politically involved in the Houston area. He generously volunteered his time to local charities.

Greig is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Gloria Placette. He is survived by his son, Drue Placette and his wife Jessica of San Marcus and four grandchildren, Payten, Sean, Liam and Julia; two sisters, Theresa (Placette) Kleypas and husband Ricky of Nederland and Renee Placette of Jacksonville, Florida.

A visitation will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Vigil at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Officiating at the services is his first cousin Rev. David Placette; Rev. Msgr. Bennie Pattilo will be co-celebrating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
