Robert "Mark" Reel

Robert "Mark" Reel, 47, of 1118 Ohio, died at 6:58 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 11, 2012) in his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1964, in Havana, Ill., to John Reel and Patricia Smith Hees. He was later adopted by Charles Smith.

Mark lived most of his life in Quincy. He worked for the city of Quincy and Quincy Metal Fabricators. Mark enjoyed walking his dog, Bear, whom he loved dearly. He loved being outdoors, mushroom hunting, fishing and cooking outdoors.

Mark is survived by his mother and stepfather, Charles and Patricia Smith of Camden, N.Y.; his father and stepmother, John and Shirley Reel of Kenton, Tenn.; a daughter, Stephanie McClelland; three grandsons; his lifelong companion, Suzanne Miller whom he cared for for many years; a stepson, Joshua Miller; a brother, Michael; a sister, Melissa; and two nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Bob Hees and Isabella Royalty; and a special cousin, Randy Hees.

He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

SERVICES: A memorial service is being planned at a later date.
