Robert Renouard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 19 to Jul. 25, 2021.
Robert 'Robbie' Tobias Renouard
March 11, 2002 - June 3, 2021
Our beloved Robbie passed away in a tragic automobile accident June 3, 2021. He was 19 years old. He attended Alameda Elementary, Beaumont Middle School, and graduated from Grant High School in 2020.
From birth Robbie adored music, and he ultimately developed an appreciation and encyclopedic knowledge of virtually every style of music. He also loved playing music. He started with piano, excelled at trumpet (thanks to his Bapa Ron) and later taught himself guitar, both acoustic and electric.
Many of Robbie's early years were spent traveling with his family, fostering a love of adventure he never lost. He and his younger brother Matthew did everything together through summer-long home exchanges in Europe, and while living for two years in Auckland, New Zealand.
Robbie loved activities with action and a hint of danger. If there were rocks to climb, skateparks to conquer, slopes to shred -- he was all in. He had one of the sharpest, wittiest, most creative-think-outside-the-box brains. He wrote beautifully. He loved to sketch. He was a deep thinker.
There is now a gaping hole in our lives we will never fill. We believe our wonderful Robbie is looking down on us now with his million-dollar smile, wearing Dad's old fishing hat, and playing beautiful guitar riffs.
Robbie is survived by his parents Dr. Doug Renouard and Pattie Tobias Renouard; brother Matthew; his grandparents Ed and Bunny Renouard and Ron and Pam Tobias as well as his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, and dog Chelsea.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Madeleine Parish in N.E. Portland June 12, 2021, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFrk3nWmnoE
Robbie was passionate about music all his life. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to My Voice Music (https://myvoicemusic.org/philosophy), a local charity that supports youth and music.

Dr. Renouard and Family, I was so saddened and felt your pain when I read about the loss of your dear son Robbie. For me I know there is no greater pain than the loss of a child. You are in my prayers. Robbie will be forever in your hearts and your loving angel in heaven.
