Feeling bad that Loo and I can't be there. If only we had known before Monday night. Loo and their grandpa shared the same birthday and they celebrated together - in Virginia or New York for so many years! Bob - I know you will be with us in spirit on August 25, when you celebrate your first birthday in Heaven. And we will be thinking about you too, Dorothy.

Bob and Dorothy will forever be a part of our family's story. We are so grateful for them and their generous hospitality. Bob was so warm and kind to us even though he barely knew us at first.

A man of respected leadership who dedicated his time to serving Goochland County and its citizens. Thank you.

Bob was a true leader as chairman of the Goochland Planning COMMISION -had a good vision as to what was best for the County /he also led the Commission on the future as they developed strategic plan for the County

Though I only met Bob a few times, your love for each other was so apparent. I remember the twinkle in his eyes when talking to you.

Dorothy, thank you so much for this lovely remembrance of Bob. I'm so sad not to have met him, and yet feel like I just met him now. Holding you in my heart through this difficult time for you.

I have so many fond memories of Bob and of the two of you together, Dorothy. I so admired the way he cherished you! And I will forever be "Miss Emily" because of Bob! I know that his loss is felt by so many. My prayers to you - wishing you peace and strength in the coming days, months and years.

I am sorry that I was never able to meet Bob, but I have appreciated your grace and calm as you have navigated likely the hardest months of your life. You are a class act and this was beautifully written.

Bob's life was an awesome and tireless example of the Human Spirit, endlessly curious, eclectic, and energizing to all he met. Thank you for sharing him with us.
