ROSBOROUGH Robert R. Rosborough II, a resident of Atlantic Beach, died April 24, 2002. The son of Mary and George Logan Rosborough, Rob was born in Jacksonville on April 17, 1925. A graduate of Fletcher High School, he attended the Citadel i8n Charleston before enlisting in the Navy during World war II. He was associated with his father in the insurance business with R. R. Rosborough & Brother for many years. Rob was a life-long member of the Community Presbyterian Church where he had served as a Deacon. He was also a former member of the Atlantic Beach City Council, a member of the Civitan Club, and the last active living charter member of the Selva Marina C.C. where he was an outstanding golfer. He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Frances Cummings Rosborough, and her children. Rob was predeceased by his first wife, Millicent, the mother of his surviving four sons; Robert Reid, wife Roxanne and grandson Kristoffer and granddaughter, Jenna, all from Hawaii; Richard Schaeffer, wife Debbie; Thomas Hassan; John Dalton; and brother George L. Rosborough, Jr. and his wife Mary V. A Memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, April 27, at the Community Presbyterian Church, 150 Sherry Drive in Atlantic Beach.
