At the time Tony passed away, I had been staying inside because of an eye problem, and I didn't see the signs that had been posted in the area, so I learned that he'd passed several monthes later. I'd planned to make this comment in honor of Veteran's Day.
Tony was a friend who I'd always watch for so that I could stop by for a visit when ever I went out for errands. I see that others had the same relationship with him.
He was always cheerful and caring. I was impressed by his code of ethics. He wanted to work for anything he needed, loved his family, talked about his mother, loved God and his country. He didn't complain about his situation or his health, and would always say he'd pray for me. I prayed for him too.
He would be concerned with the welfare of homeless people, especially if it was a woman. He was a gentleman in that way. He would try to offer help, comfort and always a prayer.
I still have the habit of looking for him when I pass by. I nod and say a silent hello to Tony and I want him and his family to know he is still missed and not forgotten, and that I appreciate his service to our country.

I was saddened to hear about Tony passing away. I had moved out of California 2 years ago and worried often about him. I knew his heart was bad but always filled with love. I´ve helped him get his heart meds, gas and bring him food. He referred to me as his Angel. He felt like a dad. I just wish I could have done more but he wasn´t a man to like accept charity. He never begged for money or asked for food. He worked hard to survive. I advertised him on Facebook to get ppl to visit him and buy from his little sidewalk shop he had set up by Target where he sold flags and hats and shirts. He had a sincere love for God and our country. He told stories about his time in the military and in Vietnam. He was an amazing person loved by the community. It was for sure an honor to have known him. RIP dear Tony. You´re in a better place looking down on the ppl who loved you.

It's August 11 and I just now found out that my friend Tony Rossi has passed. It came as a shock to me because I found out by reading the cardboard sign at the bus stop on Wells Road and Citrus. That's where I met Tony, years ago and considered him a friend. My condolences to his family. I cared about tony and we shared many prayers together. We always asked each other how our mothers were doing. Many people met Tony outside at his corner business and many people loved him. He is my brother in Christ and the next time I see him, we'll be celebrating with Jesus in heaven. I can see the joy now.

My condolences to his family. I really liked Tony I met him when he sold newspapers at Valero in Ventura. I went to get paper and told him that I applied for a job and he was all don´t you worry your going to get the job and I´m going to say a prayer for and the next day I was hired . I went to see him and thanked him it was his prayer for me that did it . When I wanted to apply for another job I would go see him and tell him and he would say a prayer for me and just like first time I got it. It just happened to be at Target on Main St. and I´m going home from there and who do I see at the corner Tony I stopped and visit with him and every time I´d see him out there I´d stop for a bit it was always great to see him and give him a bid hug and a thank you for all his prayers and helping me in getting every job I would tell him about. I´m going to greatly miss this man! He was a great guy to have known. Love u Tony .Rest in Peace. Sandra

MONALISA SHEHEE

February 17, 2023

First of all, I would like to thank all who left their thoughts and prayers for My Brother , Robert "Tony" Rossi. That is so very thoughtful and much appreciated. I am Robert Tony Rossi's youngest sibling (sister), MONALISA SHEHEE. It has been so difficult coping and mourning over the loss of my dear beloved brother. I miss him very much. Growing up I recall the kindness and caring that my brother would always show toward me. I can honestly say that in our relationship as sister and brother, he never said or did anything to me that was unkind. I always looked up to him! I remember when he joined the U.S. Army. I was so proud of his decision to join the U.S. Army and elect to serve his country. Of course, it would mean that he had to go away but his love was with me and with all the family. He gave me hope for the future. Later in years we always stayed in contact with each other. We shared a wonderful brother and sister love. He was charming, exceptionally funny and a very hard working man. He shared in joyous times when my four children were very young and throughout the following years. The same applies to me visiting and getting to know his children. I will cherish all those wonderful times we had and think about them often. All my children knew and loved their Uncle very much. During our adult years he expressed his love for our Mother Edith Rossi Boni, his love for my Sister Roberta Williams, and his love, caring, and appreciation for all his children. He would always sit down next to me and tell me how proud he was that his children had developed successful roles as parents and upstanding citizens. He was so fulfilled in knowing how hard each of his children had worked to obtain such successful careers. We had so many wonderful times together making memories that my family and I will cherish forever! My Brother , Robert "Tony" Rossi, had many talents. He could fix any appliance there was and shared his gift of bringing laughter wherever he went. The memory and sound of his laughter will always be present in my mind and soul. We spent many hours together where he would make us laugh until we cried! I can hear his laughter! That is God's gift and My Brother's gift to me. I am truly blessed to have him as my brother. Even though my family and I have had to say " goodbye" unexpectedly for now - when we see him again it will be " hello" - for all eternity, because of our faith and our belief in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior's promises. My brother's belief in God was evident as he conducted his daily business in Ventura and was shown in all he endeavored to do and give to others in the community. YOU ARE LOVED IMMENSELY BROTHER, WITH ALL OF OUR HEARTS. GOODBYE IS ONLY TEMPORARY UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN. YOU ARE WITH GOD AND OUR DAD, ANTHONY "TONY" ROSSI, NOW. REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER. I LOVE YOU. YOUR SISTER MONALISA
