I was privileged to know Rob throughout our time at Miami Killian Sr High in art & science classes. I was drawn to his talent & quick wit. We reconnected on fb many years later. We were both still deeply involved in the arts & working at museums. Even tho we were never close friends, he somehow remained in my thoughts. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.

I wrote this immediately after I learned Rob's passing and these are my memories of our special beloved friend, Rob!
Rest in peace my friend. We first met at the new student orientation when we started our graduate program. Three of us clicked and we became friends. I was new to New York, and you were like a big brother to me ('though, I think I was actually older than you).
You were kind and generous. Always supported my efforts. I remember you crying when you saw me find my passions for 3D design. When I started the program, I could barely touch the computers. You told me how proud you were seeing me grow and make such a progress.
You introduced me to your boss to see if I could find a job opportunity after finishing my graduate program. It didn't work out but you were always there reaching out whenever I needed a help.
You left NY and moved to the west coast but whenever you came back to the east coast, you would find a time to hang out with me, always kept me in your mind.
All those times we've shared and spent together, all the memories we've had, I will always cherish and you will always have a special place in my heart.
It's hard for me to imagine that I won't be able to see you again, in this life time. It feels like you are still in the west coast... It must be very hard for your family and loved ones to accept your passing. You meant so much to many of us who you touched with your genuine love and friendship.
I hope we can chat again and share our tsukemono (Japanese pickles) recipes once I get to the other side. For now, I'll bid you a brief farewell but definitely see you again when my time comes to make that transition. I was so lucky to have met you and had you in my life. Thank you for being a true friend.

I knew Robert as a fellow Hodgkin´s survivor and benefitted from his wisdom.

I met Rob when Shari and I were in film school. Rob and Shari were living in what is now Shari´s apartment. Rob was one of the most calm and gentle people I have ever met. So kind with an honest and loving smile and so much brotherly love. He knew that I loved the filmmaker Bergman so whenever we watched a film clip he would say, "very Bergman," in a funny voice. I remember seeing him always at his computer working. He loved his work. What a great soul combined with great passion and intelligence. So lucky to have known Rob. My love and condolences to Shari and family.

In blessed memory of my brother and best friend Rob. There is a special place in my heart where I will always cherish the family memories, we created together growing up with Shari. It has been a blessing to Lois and I that the boys Zachary & Matthew shared many life experiences together with their uncle Rob. Your influence is apparent in their music, mannerisms and hobbies. Not a day goes by that I want to call and share something with you...
Its' comforting to know where you are and that your soul is at peace with Mom and Dad.
