Just saw this. Myself and an old Basking Ridge buddy were conversing on Facebook on how Bob Russell taught guitar to so many of us. He literally changed my life in the 2 years he taught me, before my family moved away to Hackettstown. I started googling him to find out what he had been up to and found this. I wish I could have thanked him one more time for being such a great teacher and inspiration!

Sorry to see such a good guy leave so soon. Bob was always kind and genres to me when we hung out at the music store. Hope you are up there playing in the band. Peter

Deepest condolences to Mr. Bob's family. Please know that Mr. Bob touched so many people - young and old - through his gift and love of music. He taught my daughter violin but gave her so much more - confidence to sing while playing, determination to carry through when it got hard, and laughter and joy that comes from making music. He was a weekly light of sunshine with his x-large cup of coffee and a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Mr. Bob, rest easy my friend. Thank you for taking interest in my son Nick and teaching him guitar. We have so many stories and memories which will stay with us forever. Our condolences to Emma and Lauren (and family). ROCK ON!! You will always be Mr. Music!

Thank you for everything you've done for me Bob. You've taught me everything I know about playing guitar and performing. You've always been the one I look up to when it comes to being a musician and and all around great person. You were kind, caring, loving, funny, and thoughtful. I miss our saturdays playing guitar and singing for hours and hours. You are and always will be the type of person I can only hope to be. You will be missed dearly. Always in my thought. Rest In Peace.

Miss you Bob. My all time favorite client and great friend. Glad we took that ride in my Targa on that warm sunny day and that I got the opportunity to be a part of your "GREAT RIDE" that day and during the time I knew you!!
Peace to Em and Lauren.
