Robert Sabol Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 19, 2019.
Robert A. Sabol of Exeter passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at home.

Born in Swoyersville on Sept. 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Dolny Sabol.

Robert was a graduate of Central Catholic High School Class of 1963. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force attaining the rank of staff sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1972. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a foreman by Offset Paperback Dallas.

Robert enjoyed visits with his five grandchildren, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and telling quick witted science facts about our solar system. He was a golf enthusiast in his younger years and took pride in rebuilding his family home from the ground up. He always enjoyed looking up at the stars to see any passing meteor showers. In his honor, we ask that you also take a deep breath and look up at the stars.

Roberts family would like to thank Dr. Cassandra Tunis and the medical professionals at Geisinger Health Systems for providing continued care throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Edward Sabol; and sister, Elaine Sabol.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Mary Sabol; children, Jeffery Sabol and his wife, Karen, Morristown, N.J.; Angela Sabol Amano and her husband, Shinya, Grafton, Mass.; Jessica Sabol, Drums; grandchildren, Logan and Shane Sabol, Morristown, N.J;, and Lionel, Theodore and Katarina Amano, Grafton, Mass.; a sister, Annette Soltysiak, Wyoming; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Sabol, Harrisburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Icn. 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home

Robert loved science facts and the solar system......let us all think of the Beatles song, Across the Universe when we want to remember him in the future days, months, and years ahead. He will certainly be the most brilliant star looking down on us always. We will miss his presence on our planet earth.............
