Robert Benson SCHWARTZ

SCHWARTZ, Robert Benson Born March 9, 1941, the second child of Sophie (Weinstein) and Hyman Schwartz. He joined his big sister Elinor in a loving home in Mattapan, MA. Bob died on October 29, 2022. After Mattapan, Bob and his wife Cynthia Schwartz lived in Brookline, Holliston, Natick, and Mashpee, MA. Bob's immediate family, Hyman, Sophie, Elinor, and his brother-in-law Leonard Blau, are all deceased.

He married Cynthia Schwartz, the love of his life, on October 15 and December 15, 1963, he was devoted to her for nearly 60 years of marriage. He leaves behind his wife; his wonderful sons, Jon Schwartz, who resides in Lake Worth, FL, and Hal Schwartz, who resides in Swampscott, MA, with their wives Kathy Johnson and Melissa Upton, respectively. Bob also leaves behind his sister-in-law Ava Goldstein, who was married to the recently deceased Michael Goldstein, and brother-in-law Harvey Schwartz.

Bob's biggest joy was his grandchildren, Sophie and Brennan Schwartz, from Florida, Hannah and Lila Schwartz, from Massachusetts, step-grandchildren, Austin and Jacob Johnson, from Florida, married to Kaitlyn Johnson and Liz Lopez, respectively; and his great-grandchildren, Easton and Charlotte Johnson; and his nieces and nephews, Linda Traub, Lori Blau, Michael Blau, Adam Goldstein, Richard Goldstein, and Rachael (Baby) Schwartz.

Bob and Cynthia brought up their family in Holliston and Natick, and retired to Mashpee. He was a letter carrier for nearly four decades. Bob loved watching sports, finding the best restaurants (anywhere), and was addicted to reading newspapers daily. He was there every day to support his family and friends. Bob died comfortably at home with Cynthia by his side. His last conversation with Cynthia was recalling how he had lived a good life and had no regrets.
