Rev. Robert Shank Jr.

Rev. Robert Shank, Jr. 79, died on September 23, 2014. Born in Easton, Ohio to Robert (Mary) Shank Sr. on October 30, 1934, he attended Heidelberg University and Kenyon University where he received his Masters in Divinity. He was ordained in the Episcopal Church in 1959 and "retired" from St. John's Episcopal Church in Plymouth, MI in 1994 after 28½ years. He moved to Tucson in 1997 and traveled the world teaching and performing interim ministries. Bob used his magnetic personality and caring soul to help people in need. He was a teacher, spiritual guide and friend to many. He was a proponent of The Enneagram, a system to increase consciousness and transform suffering and was instrumental in establishing Enneagram communities in both Phoenix and Tucson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Faye Shank and Sylvia Zuercher. He will be missed by his sister, Peggy (Bill) Champion; nieces, Cheryl (Michael) McMillan and Terri (Dave) D'Alessandro; nephews, Craig (Sandy) Champion and Paul Champion. He will be buried in St. John's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
