Robert Smedley Obituary
"Bob" graduated from Crawford High School and was a U.S. Airforce veteran having served during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he began his 41 year career with T. M. Cobb Co. and retired in 2010. Bob enjoyed his "motorcycle" days, beach life and a good joke. He celebrated life with an ear to ear smile and a caring heart.
Bob was a loving father and is survived by his son David T. Smedley (Carrie) and daughter Shannyn D. Stern, 2 brothers, Stephen L. Smedley and Ronald S. Smedley, 2 grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 aunts, and 11 cousins.
A Mass service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:30am at Our Mother of Confidence in La Jolla. A Military burial will follow at 1:30pm at Miramar National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
Arrangements are in the care of Goodbody Mortuary. Please visit http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/ to express condolences to the family.
