I was deeply saddened when I saw the news of Rob's death in the Milford Mirror today. I was a friend of Rob's in high school and was honored to have been his "Auntie Mame" back in our Drama Club days. I have fond memories of him and wish him peace. With love,

Back in the day, Rob and I were the best of friends. He, Annie, Liz, and I shared many good times that I fondly reminisce. Rob played a big part in making those times so much fun with his warmth, graciousness, and perpetual generosity. He also introduced me to the Sopher family; all of which I have befriended and who have treated me like a brother. Although Rob and I fell out of touch, I will miss him and be forever grateful at having had the good fortune of his friendship.

I was stunned and saddened to see Rob's photo and obituary in yesterday's Connecticut Post. I met and was friendly with Rob at UConn -- first at the Stamford branch and then at Storrs, where we both lived in South Campus. I remember him so fondly and have often thought of him over the years. The tribute paid to him in the obituary was lovely and truly captured the Rob I remember (especially his talent for foreign accents!). My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Although many of the members of the Jonathan Law High School Drama Club have not seen Rob since we graduated, we will remember him fondly and pray that he rests in peace.

What I remember most about Robert was his quiet demeanor and that he was a true gentleman. Honest, respectful and sincere. Robert is my son-in-law Dan oldest brother and it is an honor and privilege to have had the Sopher family to have become part of ours. I personally will miss Rob's smiling face.
