My husband and I were members of TCBC (Twin Cities Bicycle Club) in 1990-2015. We loved doing all the club rides with Bob. He was so kind and helpful.

Dear Holly
I know you though the ALS caregiver support group. I wanted to send you my condolences on the loss of your beloved Bob. In reading about his life in the paper recently, I was so impressed by all he had accomplished in his life here. What a remarkable man. I know that you cared for him with love and I am sure he was blessed to have you in his life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.

To the Stimson Family and Holly,
Bob was always in my thoughts and prayers, and I recall his matter-of-fact statement to me about the onset of the ALS in 2004 and his "as always determination mindset" to deal with it head on.
I picked up Bob's adventure spirit when he worked with me to land a construction project in Saudi Arabia. After that, I always had my mental bags packed and ready to go! He was an absolute positive and profound influence on my life and my family.
He was very fortunate to have you with him during his journey. I am sure that his chronicles will and have already helped others to roll back the limits of ALS. He finished as a hero.
He will always be remembered.

Bob and I worked together at Skyline in the 90's. I enjoyed discussing world affairs with him. I also liked listening to his travel experiences from around the world. We met for lunch a few years ago and was really inspired by his outlook and sense of optimism!

I went to entertain Bob, but he ended up entertaining me. In such a short time he helped me to see the world and myself completely different. I will treasure our meeting forever.I can only imagine how he touched the lives of all who knew him. What a wonderful man! Bambi La Fleur

I had the pleasure of working with Bob at Dicomed in the 80's. Bob's sales skills got me transferred to Australia. He was an amazing guy and a great influence on me. When I learned of his ALS I was able to come to his home and visit with him and we caught up on old times and had a few laughs. He will be missed. What a great guy.

Holly, you inspired Bob, and us all with your strength and dedication. Of course, Bob truly uplifted us with his adaptive and upbeat approach to life. I enjoyed his humor and stories - when I could catch up to him on the TCBC bike rides, both on and off-road. He was always Up Front, quick in wit and in sport.

Holly-
There are hardly words that can sum up his exsistence. (he so great!)
He would want me to say "SMOOTH",..it's all about the smooth."
One thing that I am sure of,...he is having one heck of a good time up in heaven now,...I'm sure he is dancing and singing and loving evey minute of it!

Frank and I always enjoyed biking with Bob in the '90s with TCBC. Let's hope he's riding those golden roads now. We will remember the wonderful times. I'm glad we got to know him.

I met Bob when he worked at the London Hilton as a part of the Macalester Student Work Abroad Project in the summer of 1963.
He has a keen interest in learning all about life England and was instrumental in persuading me to move from the London Hilton and to seek my future in the United States. I will miss his quiet self-deprecating humor and thoughtful demeanor.
