Robert Keith Stockmar

Robert Keith Stockmar was born on a Monday on March 1, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to Dorothy (Walker) Stockmar and Robert Stockmar.

He served honorably in the United States Air Force in the early 60s and was stationed in Puerto Rico and Arkansas. He grew up in the Sauganash neighborhood on the north side where he lived across the street from Valerie Ciolli Stockmar, and the two went on a date that would last 60 years.

Bob worked in the film business with United Artists for many years, and going to movie theaters was a passion for him, as were his three boys, his dogs, building a warm home, going to church on Sunday (but getting home in time for Bears kickoff), and Jay's potato chips. Bob had many cherished friendships, some over many decades. He was a part of so many friends' and families' birthdays and graduations and holidays and ballgames.

Bob entered Heaven on September 15, 2025.

He is greatly missed.

His family includes "his angel" (his words) in wife Valerie; sons Robert, Kevin, and Steven, and daughters-in-law Stephanie and Melissa; brother David; sister-in-law Kathy; six grandchildren; many cousins, nephews, and nieces; and his dog Donnie.

Notable friends along the way: Bob would definitely want us to mention The Meadows Sun City and the healthcare team there who keep the patients healthy and smiling, and who also dance in costumes when called upon. And Hospice of the Valley - an actual network of angels here in town.

In lieu of flowers, a small donation in Bob's name to YorkieLuvRescue, The Honor Flight Network, or the Desert Botanical Garden is encouraged to spread his good cheer.

A memorial mass for Bob will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Arizona.

A luncheon will follow at 11 a.m. at Sunland Memorial Park (next to the church), at 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd.
