Michael Ey HOPEWELL Michael Ey, 30, of Hopewell, NJ, died in Redmond, WA, on Feb. 28, 2015. Michael was born on Sept. 19, 1984, in Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School, where he was active in woodworking and robotics, in 2003. While in middle school and high school, Michael worked for Vox Juris Inc. in Pennington, NJ. He went on to study at Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a bachelor's degree in computer science in 2008 and a master's degree in game design and development in 2010. Michael was employed by Microsoft in Redmond, WA, where he worked on the HoloLens project. Previously, he was a software engineer for IMVU in Mountain View, CA. His hobbies were science fiction, woodworking, Legos, and model aviation. Michael is survived by his partner, Kelley Piering; his parents, Robert and Irene Ey of Hopewell, NJ; his brother; his uncle and aunt, Tom and Linda LeLacheur of Ashland, OR; his great-aunt, Margaret Christiansen of Carson City, NV; and his grandfather, Clifford Ey of Savoy, MA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, Hopewell. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
