November 1, 1921 - March 6, 2018, age 96. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert M. Thompson, Sr. on March 6, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He has joined his beloved wife, Janet, leaving behind his children, Rob, Jr. (Diane), TerriAnn, Wendy (Conrad), and George; along with his grandchildren; Janet and Kristen Davis, Eric and Chad Eversbusch, and Rick and Laurie Thompson. Bob was born in Butler, PA, graduated Princeton, and served as a U.S. Air Force bombardier in WWII. He was a successful businessman owning his own insurance agency, multiple real estate buildings, co-owner and founder of Redshaw computer software, and an active member in the community and church. The Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Beulah Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Beulah Church. His footprint will truly be felt by many, and his legacy will continue for years to come. He will always be remembered as a kind, generous, hardworking, loving person who has touched many lives. He will be missed terribly!

My favorite memory with my uncle was the first time he took me to play golf at his country club. I was practicing on the putting green on a Saturday morning in July in 1986. I was new to the game only been playing about a year. The pro came out and told my uncle there been some complaints that my shorts were too short remember this was 1986 uncle Bob came over and said follow me we went into the clubhouse and he bought me a pair Bermuda shorts size 34 problem was I had a 28 inch waist . One of my favorite rounds of my life.Playing for the first time with my uncle Bob. It was great, hit the ball pull up my shorts, hit the ball pull up my shorts, hit the ball pull up my shorts. Love you and will miss you.
