Robert Thorson, "Crazy Bob," 67, of Vallejo, passed away Sunday following a brief illness.
Robert was born in San Francisco. He was employed by Touro University, Blue Rock Springs and as owner-operator of Stride-Rite Shoe Store for 40 years in Antioch, CA. "Crazy Bob" was an avid golfer, member of the Blue Rock Golf Club, and ar-dent fisherman at Lake Berryesa's Markley Cove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thilmore and Nona Thorson; brother, Rick Thorson; and grandson, Derrik Rodriquez.
Robert is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vicky Thorson; daughters, Michele (Curt) Curtis, Kim Thorson (Raelynn Rodriguez); sons, Chris Thorson, Franklin Thorson and Donald Thorson; sister, Joanie Baldree; brother, Tracy Thorson; two grandchildren, Kelsey Rodriguez and Skylor Rose Marie Hoover; golf partner of 29 years, Dwight Damm, Frank and Dottie Arza-don, Robin and Ken Gross-Mullen, and Dave and Toni Nova, Blue Rock Springs golf members; and his devoted canine companion, "Rosie."
Contributions may be made to Blue Rock Golf Program: Youth on Course Program, 655 Columbus Parkway, Vallejo, CA 94591.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, at 2 p.m., both at Skyview Funeral Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo, CA 94591.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. No question he was one of the good guys. Our sympathy goes out to Vickie and the boys (they must be young men by now) I'm sure they grew to be fine men at that thanks to Bob (and Vickie)
