Robert F. Van Nostrand, 70, of Port St. Lucie passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Lucie Medical Center.
Robert was born in Queens, New York. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past seven years coming from Hampton Bays, New York.
He served in the Army National Guards during the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen Van Nostrand; one daughter, Lisa and her husband Steve Lorber; two sons, Robert and his wife Stephanie Van Nostrand; James and his wife Courtney Van Nostrand; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Johnthan, Poppy, Shea, Adam and Emma.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
A Funeral Service of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.

We were childhood friends, both moving to Robert Avenue at the age of 3. This picture was taken on Easter Sunday 1957. So many memories through the years. I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. May God bless your family with His peace and comfort in your time of grieving.
