Robert Benton Wall

Robert Benton Wall, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Beaumont, Texas, on November 16, 1937, to Sheila Preston and Carl William Wall, Bobby's life was defined by his passion for family, work, and enjoying life.

After graduating from Beaumont High School, Bobby pursued higher education at The University of Texas in Austin, where he majored in Business Administration and Accounting. It was during this time that he met Jerry Lancaster, the love of his life, and they were married soon after. Together, they embarked on a journey that led them from Austin to Beaumont and Houston, where they raised their three children with love and dedication.

Bobby's professional journey was marked by success and innovation. Beginning at Price Waterhouse and later joining Zapata Corporation, he rose through the ranks to become Chief Financial Officer. In 1985, Bobby founded Teakwood Financial Advisors, where his expertise and leadership made a significant impact on countless lives.

Outside of work, Bobby found joy on the land, in the air and on the sea. He was an avid golfer, pilot and fisherman. He enjoyed the camaraderie and competition with his friends and won many tournaments at Houston Country Club. His love for flying led him to the skies, where he experienced the thrill of freedom and adventure. On the water, Bobby spent many hours aboard his beloved boats with his family, cruising the Gulf of Mexico and the blue waters of the Bahamas.

His love for dogs was evident and he had many over the years. He rescued Scout on Christmas Eve in 2020, as it turns out Scout was a Christmas angel sent to rescue him. Bobby deeply valued his friendships and he was always there for his family offering love, strength and guidance. He will be sorely missed.

Bobby leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Jerry, his children Michaele Donati (Aldo), Robert Wall (Shawn), and Jacqueline Nacol, his grandchildren Martina Donati, Andrew Donati (Charlotte), Kristin Wall, Preston Wall, Bowman Nacol, Zoe Nacol, and Jackson Nacol.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Bobby will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and his calming presence. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave.
