Robert Wallace III Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 8, 2021.

Mr. Robert Tyrus Wallace III answered the Master’s call and departed this life on Saturday, September 25, 2021 battling COVID-19 at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. Robert Tyrus Wallace III was born on August 26, 1977, at the Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC, to Elder Robert Esquire Wallace, Jr. and Patricia Ann Wallace. Robert was the first-born son and only brother to his siblings, Linnis, Leah, and Noelle.

During Robert’s early years of life living in the District of Columbia, Robert attended DC Public Schools where he graduated from Dunbar High School the Home of the Crimson Tide in 1996. Robert’s instructional studies was the Engineering program at Dunbar High School. In 1996, Robert selected to continue his education and graduating from St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC. He began his working career in the IT/Engineer Department at various local and abroad companies. His last employer was Philips Health Care where he spent many days & nights on the east coast at various hospitals doing IT/Engineer work.

Robert was baptized under the Pentecostal/Apostolic Doctrine in the Name of Jesus Christ at Bible Way Church on 1100 New Jersey Avenue, NW, under the late-founder and leadership of Apostle Smallwood E. Williams. Robert was a shy individual in the church but was so after GOD’s heart as his father and mother was his first leaders and examples in his life. Robert had plenty profound conversations with his father about Jesus Christ and it was noted at an early age that his father had him to read and remember Psalms 121 whenever and wherever (this was the household scripture). Robert NEVER forgot the word of GOD that was imparted in him at a young age until he departed this life at 44.

Robert was so inspirational, loved listening to his gospel music, reading in his spare time, cooking, watching football, playing his gaming system with his sons and nephews, cracking jokes with never ending laughter, talking to his close brothers/cousins and his two god-sisters. He also enjoyed shopping for the latest electronics, traveling all over the world with his job and/or taking personal vacations with his love ones, and simply just loving on his children and family every chance he got. Robert displayed his father’s traits of being a family man and friend.

Moreover, Robert was the family connector of finding out the family tree on his father and mother side. After Robert’s parents passed away in 2017, (five months apart of each other), Robert took the mantle and maintain his father’s wish by looking after his little sister Linnis. Robert never wanted to disappoint his mother and father wish even when Linnis got on his last nerve. Also, Robert was a momma’s boy as he was the only boy out of three sisters in the house.

Funny story, it was discovered that Robert had the most beautiful penmanship that a guy could ever have. It was especially noted when Robert wrote an excused tardy note using his mother’s signature that Ms. Jones, Attendance Counselor at Jefferson Junior High School called to verify. Just say it was all he wrote, as his mother gave him a good ole country tree switch spanking. I bet he learned his lesson that day.

He was affectionately known as “Robbie” or “Rob”.  He was so highly respected in his workspaces, communities, and always giving words of encouragement to the masses. Robert deeply loved his Channel Square family, Dunbar High School Family, St. Augustine family, and his home church family immensely.

Robert was married twice. Out of the first union was born Ja’Nice Marie Wallace, Mikiya Leigh Wallace, and Robert Jelonie Wallace (RJ). Out of his second union was his baby boy, Issac Kedar Wallace. In 2018, Robert met his queen “Ronda Scott” and they have been rocking and rolling ever since. This year, Robert have made it known that he really found the love of his life and it was especially noted without Ronda knowing that Robert asked Ronda’s father the hand in marriage. The proposal was going to take place on her upcoming birthday. Ronda and Robert’s family were so excited as the family and close friends saw them as two peas in the pod, Bonnie and Clyde, as they always were together and so inseparable. Robert found his soulmate. When Ronda was not in his presence, Robert made sure he had Ronda on his phone (Facetime) throughout the day/night until he came back home from his job. Because Robert had to share his time, Robert would do daily group FaceTime, Google Duo calls with Ronda, Linnis, Leah, and Noelle and countless others.

Robert T. Wallace III leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to: his queen, “Ronda” of Chesterfield, VA; daughters, Ja’Nice Marie Wallace and Mikiya Leigh Wallace both Mooresville, NC;  sons, Robert Jelonie Wallace of Mooresville, NC, and Issac Kedar Wallace of Chesterfield, VA; granddaughter, Sariyah Wallace of Mooresville, NC; stepchildren, Dayzha Brown of Atlanta, GA, Duron Johnson and Anyssa Ravenell both of Chesterfield, VA; his bonus grand-angel, Jacari Long; sisters, Linnis Wallace of Washington, DC, Leah D. Robert Wallace is to me an amazing individual. I worked at Bons Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center as supervisor of Clinical Engineering. There, I met Rob. He was the most knowledgeable, caring, respectful and devoted person I could have met. He was the person my team relied on when the Philips central monitoring systems in our hospitals went down. Oh boy...I would call Rob at 2am, 3 am, anytime during the day for assistance and he would be there to assist. Not once did he say that he was too busy. He is such a person to emulate. I looked up to him, because of so many things...one of which was his technical skills-- they were impressive. He is, I know with us all in spirit. I love him as a respectful man and coworker. I am honored to have known and worked with him. His joy of all he did should be spread to all. Love Robert Wallace!

To The Wallace Family
I knew Rob from long back and still can’t believe he is now with God. May God grant you all the peace that only He can give. Rob’s healing was not meant for this side and we know he is now whole. Cherish the memories that you have. Rest easy Rob and see you in the morning.
