My deepest condolences go out to Dr. Warriner's family. Doctor Bob was my friend and mentor and I will miss him deeply. I am proud; I had the privilege of knowing him and grateful to have been his colleague and friend. Dr. Bob, you were my teacher, you inspired and challenged me, but most importantly, you taught me to be a better caregiver. I was honored when you asked me to work with you and called me your colleague. The guidelines and treatment protocols we developed have already improved patient outcomes and will helped millions more. Your hand will continue to touch and heal for years to come. Your impact on wound care and hyperbaric medicine is immeasurable.
You fought a valiant fight my friend and I am sure God did reach down and take you by the hand. Until we meet again, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I will miss you Bob...
Your friend, Jim

In the last several years of his life, Dr. Bob Warriner played a critical role in a project at MD Anderson Cancer Center that aims to reduce the symptoms and toxicities that patients experience as a result of cancer treatment. Unfortunately, Dr. Warriner was well aware of the currently unavoidable problems that cancer therapies cause for patients—in fact, he had to alter his professional life because of these problems. He brought his knowledge as a physician and his wisdom as a patient to advising this project, and was unstinting with his precious time and energy in directing our research toward the issues that really mattered. Only last April, he gave a talk that galvanized a national group assembled to explore how we can make cancer therapies less harmful to patients. The audio of this presentation is preserved, and will continue to advise and inspire researchers who share this goal. Those of us who were privileged to work on this project with Dr. Warriner are honored to have known him.

Karen, Joe and I want you to know that we were always inspired and encouraged by Bob's good humor, his perserverence, his dedication and his willingness to fight the good fight, but most of all by his devotion to his family and to his God. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. May God bless you and give you peace.

We love you and ors to God for his life and yours - (John 14:1-6). Amen. Guerrero Heredia Family / Bethany Baptist Church in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico.

Dr. Bob a great teacher, friend and colleague. Always a warm welcome no matter how long it had been since you saw him. I learned so much from him and will forever think of him. He and I worked on many projects together from clinical practice to quality reporting to electronic medical records when they first started. Rest in peace my friend.

I feel honored to have known and worked with Dr. Warriner. He was an inspiration to so many. I admired his intellect. He taught me not to believe a claim made about a product or treatment but look at the science. He was always ready to teach if we wanted to learn and I learned so much. He was upbeat and he treated everyone with compassion and honor. He would always thank the staff at the end of the day and he would tell us we had done a great job, even when it was a mess. He was a great example of meekness. He would share his faith if anyone wanted to know. He served our community and has left a great legacy of saving lives and limbs. He didn't take himself to seriously either. He loved to sing and he chose a song from Captain Kangaroo to be his theme song. It's called, TERRIFIC, (I'm Tom Terrific,Greatest hero ever, Terrific is the name for me, 'Cause I'm so clever; can be what I want to be and, If you'd like to see, Follow, come follow me;) Perfect song. He blazed the road. I followed until I could go it alone. Sincerely,

My condolences to Bob's family. I regret that I only had the opportunity to know him the last few years. Like many others that met him, I immediately considered him a friend and colleague. I learned much from him in the time I knew him but most of all, I saw an example of how to meet one's fate bravely and with dignity. While we will mourn his loss, we must celebrate his life and many contributions to others.

I knew Robert when he was student in grades 7 and 8 at Mid City Baptist High School in New Orleans, LA I see in adult life he was a learner, a servant, and an inspiration as he was when he was an inquiring young student. He and his family were an inspiration to me to research and grow as a teacher. I pray for his immediate famiily, his mother, and Mark and Judy as they remember one who "fought a good fight" for himself as well as in his commitment to help others.

I was priviledged to work for Dr. Warriner when he was the Medical Director for the Montgomery County Hospital District E.M.S. and Rural/Metro E.M.S. Dr. Warriner was an incredibly patient man that never seemed to mind when I had to wake him up in the middle of the night (sometimes more than once). He always stressed the importance of being a patient advocate. Dr. Warriner was an excellent mentor and his memory will live on though those of us that were honored to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I had the privilege of being mentored and to work with Dr Warriner for almost 10 years. The lessons he taught me go beyond wound care and hyperbarics. He taught me to fight for those who did not have a voice. He so willingly shared his knowledge and time with me and others. I have many wonderful memories from the times we worked at the center at center and traveling doing our lectures. He will sorely missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Karen, Amy, Leslie and the rest of your family.

Some of my fondest days and 'working' memories were days at Praxis going back to 2003, thanks to Bob. Our days on Earth are a gift and he truly used his God given talents and his gifted days on Earth to touch us all. And thou he will be sorely missed, he himself would be the first to tell us that "God has everything under control". I can hear him praying that he would hope his life and his passing help us to see God's hand in all things. He was a great man, husband, father, and a friend.

I am so sorry for you loss- - I had the chance to know and work with Dr. Warriner and he was always a patient and kind man; able to explain complex medical situations to a lay person and make the experience an interesting and memorable one. Peace be with you in this time of loss.

I first met Bob at 2 in the morning in the ICU at Conroe Regional Medical Center where he was the critical care director and I was a second year resident. He came in to assist me in the management of a difficult case. We became friends at that moment. When he opened the wound care center in 1991, I started hanging out to see what he was doing. He finally got tired of me just being there and offered me a job! I took it and joined him in 1992 and have never regretted it for a moment. The greatest legacy that you can leave, besides your family, are the people that you trained to follow in your footsteps and carry on your work. For everyone who ever had the priviledge to hear him teach or to work with him, I know that you will agree with me. His wit and wisdom will be sorely missed. I will miss my friend the most.

To Dr. Warriner's Family,
I was the Chaplain at Medical Center Hospital when the wound care center came into being. Dr. Bob, his staff and all of us were so excited. He often called me when he found a patient to be having a difficult time emotionally and spiritually. He cared for his patients from a mind, body and spirit perspective. The world has lost a good and decent man. God has blessed us through him. May God bless you in this difficult time.

Bob was a friend, neighbor, and colleague. My wife and I first met him 26 years ago during the delivery of our daughter, Sarah. Melinda was attempting natural childbirth, but in the process of delivery experienced severe pain and finally consented to an epidural block. The anesthesiologist came in, introduced himself in the kindest voice, then performed the procedure with immediate relief. We could not remember his name but remembered his voice. Six years later, when we joined First Baptist Church The Woodlands, we were assigned to Bob and Karen's Sunday school class, and we immediately knew who the kind voice belonged to.
The Warriner family are the best of neighbors. I was honored to be associated with Bob on the hospital staff. We will miss Bob terribly. Karen, Amy, Lesley, and family, you are in our prayers. We love you all.

I feel honored to have worked with Dr. Warriner on numerous payer advocacy projects which were targeted toward gaining access to and payment for new technology that would help patients with chronic wounds. Even when Dr. Warriner did not feel well himself, he never said "no" to an opportunity to work behind the scenes to educate payers. Although I never met Dr. Warriner's family, I felt like I knew them because he always talked about his wonderful wife, children, and grandchildren, In fact, he always told the payers about his family. Today the wound care industry shares the feeling of emptiness with the Warriner family. Every memory and every tear is a true celebration of Dr. Warriner's life well lived and of a friend the wound care industry loved.

Bob Warriner was my friend and my mentor. He taught me a lot about the practice of medicine. More importantly he taught me how to serve a purpose much greater than I am. The Book of Revelation says "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth...that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them." It is an honor to follow Bob Warriner. May light perpetual shine on him.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Warriner, but I feel as though I have known him. I peppered him with questions about hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and he was never to involved, nor too busy, nor was any question too inane for him to make the time to reply.
I have come to admire the DOCTOR that I have never had the opportunity to meet.
I wish the family peace an The Lord's Blessings.
