I miss talking with Rob about ham radio and God. I met him through OSU Bible studies group and wow was he sharp in electronics. We both graduated as EEs from OSU. May god bless Rob and his family always,
I pray this in Jesus's name. Miss ya bro. Karl K7VBG,73.

I was shocked and saddened to see Rob was gone. I probably had not talked to Rob for 8-10 years but he was a great friend in grad school at OSU and of course got me into amateur radio. I was amazed as I told my wife about all the things that kept popping in my head that Rob and I did besides designing antennas and radars (sell candy out of desk drawers, shoot off cannons and muzzle loaders, store his VW bug in my garage, etc.). Although we had limited contact in recent times, I always remembered Rob and tried to track him down at the last couple Dayton hamfests. My deepest sympathies go out to his kids, wife, and extended family. Till we meet again...

Rob and I worked together at Battelle and were both members of the Battelle amateur radio club. We spent many hours respectfully debating current events, as we often seemed to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Once in a while his arguments were persuasive enough to get me to consider changing my point of view.

Rob's love for his family was evident in the often humorous stories that he would tell. I can still remember a colorful story about his dog licking the artificial snow from the window panes, and the results thereafter.

As a first rate inventor, Rob liked to explain what he had just developed to solve another problem.

Rob, thank you for the wisdom that you so willingly shared.

Rob was a fun and smart person. I was close to him in Jr. High and High School. He was a warm spirit and loved electronics. I remember how much he loved programming his TI calculator and working with LED circuit boards. Shocked to hear of his passing.

Rob was a great engineer and I always admired his knowledge and passion for his technology. I knew Rob back when our children were little and he worked at Battelle. He help me learned about RF, and he was a great reference to help me expand my knowledge. I am sadden he was not able to enjoy life past his professional career, and I hope the best for his family. He will be missed.

Rob was a fine person, a good colleague, and one of the best practical RF engineers I'd ever worked with during his time at STAR Dynamics. There will be many who will be saddened when the learn of his passing. Our thoughts are with you.
