Robert Andrew Whitaker Sr. of Powell WY., passed away at home Jan. 5, 2013.
Born May 16, 1929, in Goldstone, MT. the second son of Edwin and Maude Whitaker. Robert had 10 brothers and three sisters.
He served two years in the army stationed in Germany. He married Patricia Ann Enevold of Havre, MT. May, 1955. Had two sons Robert Andrew Jr. (Alana) of Powell, WY and William Edward (Teresa) of W. Jordan, UT. Married a second time to LaRue Wennerstrom. Nov 6, 1961, Craig, CO. Married a third time to Patience Durbin Aug 22, 1996 in S. Jordan, UT.
Bob worked hard all his life, starting in a coal mine, with his father, when he was about six. Bob worked as a lineman building power lines for 45 years in the western states. Bob enjoyed many life experiences including motorcycles, car racing, and hunting. After retiring his passion was trap shooting and he belonged to several clubs, he also liked to build things and built several houses. He loved country western music and movies.
Preceded in death by parents, first two wives, siblings George, Ben, Albert, Arthur, Bruce, JoAnn, brother-in-law Gary Hall, and grandson Shevlin.
Survived by siblings Elmer (Fran) Roseberg, OR, Donald (Donna) Farmington, UT, Edwin (Bonnie) Mayfield, UT, Allen (Pam) Olney, MT, Walter (Juanita) Clarkston, Washington, Bessie Self (Gary) Hillsboro, OR, Lora Hall Hillsboro, OR., nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
