Robert Gordon Wilson, 71, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Friday, May 29, 2009, in Norman, Oklahoma. No Services are planned at this time. Arrangements are with Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.Mr. Wilson was born August 30, 1937, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Ira Kendall and Faye Evelyn (Campbell) Wilson. He graduated from Idabel High School and then from Southeastern University. He received a Master's Degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr. Wilson married Frieda Cordell in 1964, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He taught school in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and also at the Fort Sill Indian School in Lawton. He supervised the math/science school program at Cherokee, North Carolina. After his teaching career, Mr. Wilson became a systems analyst for the Department of Defense until his retirement. He and his wife moved to Norman in December 1999, from Lawton, Oklahoma. Mr. Wilson was greatly loved by his family for his loving care and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ikey and Billy Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Frieda Wilson, of Norman; son, Robert A. Wilson, of Norman; four daughters, Alicia Sams, of Allen, TX, Holly Wilson, of Oklahoma City, OK, April Wilson, of Norman, and Nickole Munoz, of Tulsa, OK; two granddaughters, Keigan Munoz, of Tulsa, OK and Zoe Hundley, of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandsons, Gabriel Sams, of Allen, TX, Emerick and Garris Munoz, both of Tulsa, OK, Micah Wilson, of Norman, and Wilson Hundley, of Oklahoma City, OK; and two nephews, Ken and Lane Wilson, both of Idabel, OK.Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.Send condolences online at http://www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com/Obituaries.htmSubmitted by family
