Robert Wright Obituary
Robert L. Wright, 88, of Chatham, IL, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at St. John's Hospital.
He was born on April 1, 1928 in Springfield, the son of the late Frank Wright and Eloise Cappelin. He married Jacqueline Bailey on Dec. 26, 1948.
Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Navy. He was owner/operator of Wright Painting and Decorating, was a member of First Christian Church, and was a former president of the Kiwanis Club.
Besides his wife Jacqueline, he is survived by 3 children, Linda Earp of Springfield, Larry (wife Debbie) Wright of Pottsboro, TX, and Bobbie (husband Jim) Suttie of Springfield; 8 grandchildren, Sean Wright, Amanda Workman, James Suttie, Kimberly Pagano, Jacque Wright, Chad Workman, Scott Wright, and Ian Wright; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Besides his mother and father, he was preceded in death by 1 son Kevin Wright, 1 grandson Patrick Wright, and his step-father Paul Holland.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorials may be made to the Sangamon County Animal Control or to the A.P.L. (Animal Protective League).

Dear Wright family,
We are saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We have missed seeing him and have many fond memories of him and his pets. I have thought of him many times when I have needed painting done, and wished he was still available. He was a pleasure to know.
