Robert Yale Obituary
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ
Robert Yale Sr., 75, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. He was born on March 25, 1944, to the late Henry and Rose Rossi Yale.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janice Rose Yale, and siblings, Marie Appleby, David Yale, and Henry Yale. He leaves behind his son, Robert Yale Jr. and wife, Tammy, and his pride and joy, grandchildren, Terese and Zachary Yale; sisters, Beverly Rush and Betty Rush, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who all share in his loss.
Bob was a longtime youth coach. He loved sports, cars, fun, music, dancing, the LA Dodgers, and most of all, his family. He worked hard and lived simply, never letting anything stop him from his goals.
As an adult, he obtained his GED, CDL and HVAC certification and boating license. He trained and completed the Philadelphia Marathon in his 60s. Nothing could slow him down, which is what brings us here today. Bob died from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident on his way to spend a fun day with friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at 10 a.m., at St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 430 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Interment will be private at Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
To honor Bob, donations may be made to The Joseph H. Firth Youth Center, 108 Fleming Dr., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Condolences may be made at www.rupellfuneralhome.com.

My heartfelt sympathy to Bobby and his family. Your dad was one of the good guys....kind, compassionate, easygoing and a good friend. The memories are endless that I shared with him in Jan on Glen Avenue....our daily cups of coffee discussing PAL sports, our Xmas Eve celebrations and soooo many more.
