Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. Robert Grady Yancey, age 75, of Dunwoody, a native of Atlanta, died Saturday, February 25, 2006. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Yancey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta. He is survived by his wife, Ina Yancey of Dunwoody; son, David Shawn Yancey of Atlanta; daughter, Katherine Yancey Gilmore of Carlton; step-daughter, Denise Zehr of Blue Ridge, TX; and three grandchildren, Candice Opal Zehr, Crystal Darlene Zehr, (USMC) Allen Loyal Zehr, all of Blue Ridge, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1st in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Rev. Varon Crosby will officiate. Interment Westview Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Pkwy., Marietta, GA 30067 or to the American Diabetes Association, 1 Corporate Sq., Atlanta, GA 30329. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.

Funny I find this while doing a school project. I found out of your passing while I was in Afghanistan. I knew you would understand why I wasn't at your funeral. You were one of a kind, hard but fair, stubborn but considerate and a great conversationalist. I miss you
