Roberta Anne Cummings

Roberta A. Cummings, 63, of Chadwick, died on Monday, November 20, 2017 at University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago. Roberta was born on October 24, 1954 in Dixon to Robert Carson and Anna Rose (Huffstutler) Davis. She married David Cummings on June 9, 1973 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. She worked at Morrison Community Hospital as a human resource assistant for 16 years. Roberta enjoyed the outdoors especially boating on the river, camping and fishing. She loved her family and enjoyed living in the country. Her family and friends were especially fond of her good cooking. Surviving is her husband, David, of Chadwick; her daughters, Carrie (Michael) Stahl of Milledgeville and Christi (Brett) Ryan of Chadwick; her parents Robert and Anna Davis of Rock Falls; a sister Kim (Jim) Hatten of Rock Falls; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-6 PM on Friday, November 24 at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling.
