Roberta Heise-Sargent

MIDDLETOWN - Roberta (Digiulio) Heise-Sargent, 71, of Smith St., beloved wife of James Sargent, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Middlesex Hospital.

She was born in Meriden, the daughter of the late Louis and Geraldine (Connaughton) Digiulio. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Pratt & Whitney as a hand fusion welder. Roberta was a member of the Emblem Club, AARP and the Westfield Grange.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, William Heise Jr. and his wife, Ginger of Berlin, and Dayna A. Heise and his wife, Dena of Avon; two daughters, Deborah A. Derosier and her husband, Omar of Paradox, N.Y., and Sandra Matton and her husband, Gerald of Seekonk, Mass.; three stepchildren, John J. Sargent of Waterbury, Jay M. Sargent of Manchester, and Serena J. Vega of Meriden; brother, Daniel Digiulio and his wife, Theresa of Coventry; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Pius X Church, Middletown. Burial will be in the springtime in Miner Cemetery.
