Roberta Jones

Roberta Age 67, of 1317 Lake St., Elmira, NY. She was born December 4, 1937 in Tallassee, AL, the daughter of James Henderson and Bertha Perry, and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after an extended illness. She was predeceased by her father; husband, Roosevelt Jones, Sr.; and sister, Lessie Bea Finley. Roberta is survived by her mother, Bertha Perry of Elmira; children, Bettye (Reginald) Wells, Pamela (Sonny) Whitehurst, both of Columbus, OH, Roosevelt Jones, Jr. and Gloria Jones both of Elmira, James Jones of Columbus, OH, and Anthony Joe of Virginia; brother, Alb Garrett of Orlando, FL. She was a Family Care Provider for the state of New York. Family and friends are invited to visit Faith Temple Community C.O.G.I.C., Harper St., Elmira, on Thursday, May 12th, from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon. Her funeral service will begin at 12 Noon. Rev. Elden Talley will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
