Roberta G. McCrea, 79, Conway, Arkansas, passed away at 3:45 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2007 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 10, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois. She was united in marriage in 1959 to Arthur McCrea. He preceded her in death in 1993. Roberta was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway where she was active in the Dottie Robins Light Sunday School Class. She was an avid golfer, with two hole-in-ones to her credit, and had rated many golf courses for the state of Arkansas. She also enjoyed playing bridge. She is survived by two sons, Brandy McCrea, Ft. Smith, Ark.; and Steven McCrea and his wife Joyce, Springfield, Mo.; four grandsons, Travis McCrea, Springfield, Mo.; Joshua McCrea, Overland Park, Kan.; Colton and Jace McCrea, both of Ft. Smith, Ark.; a granddaughter, Ashley McCrea, Springfield, Mo.; a sister and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, in First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince Street, Conway, Ark., with the Reverends Charles Murry and Dede Roberts officiating. Local arrangements are under direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri, The Wish House, 1510 W. Elfindale, Springfield, MO 65807.
