Roberta S. Towers

Towers, Roberta S. Ann Arbor, MI (Formerly of Adrian)
Age 96, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Hillside Terrace in Ann Arbor. She was born March 16, 1914, in Reading, MI to Ellis B. and Clara Edith (Bills) Stanley. She graduated from Reading High School in 1932. On August 13, 1938, she married Russell Smith Towers and he preceded her in death on August 3, 1978. Roberta had been self-employed in childcare. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Stanley Smith (Carolyle) Towers of Ann Arbor and Stephen Whitney Towers of Fairborn, OH; daughter, Susan Roberta (Mark)Hastings of Tecumseh; three granddaughters and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Stanley. Funeral service for Roberta will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1448 Short St., Tecumseh with Rev. Sandy Benes officiating. Burial will be in West Adrian Cemetery.
