Roberto Mancilla Caldera passed away at his residence in Surprise, AZ on July 30, 2015. Bobby was born in East Los Angeles, CA to Graciela and Daniel Caldera on October 20, 1963. He was raised in La Puente, CA where he was a straight A student at La Puente High School. As well as being an Honor student, he loved playing tennis, basketball, baseball, football and Ping-Pong. He loved the study of geography. Following high school, Bobby completed three years at Cal Poly University. In August of 1986 he entered the Marine Corps and was awarded the Rifle Expert Badge. Bobby was a City Council member for a number of years and loved vacationing in Israel and Lake Tahoe. He was a member of the World Wide Church of God and United Church of God most of his life. He gained much spiritual comfort in bible study and had a special interest in Theology. Bobby has survived by his adored mother, Graciela; his siblings Victor, Danny Johnny, Jose, Gracie, Sylvia, Letty and Patty; numerous nieces, nephews and treasured dog, Milo. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Advantage Golden Door Chapel, 11211 W. Michigan Ave., Youngtown, AZ with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:00 pm at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, AZ. Condolences may be left for the family at www.advantagefunerals.com.
