Services for Robin Michelle Smith 47, of Flint, will be held on Tuesday, February 28th , at 10 am at Rose Heights Fellowship Hall with Pastor Allen Townsend officiating.
Robin ran into the Father’s arms Tuesday February 21,2023 in Tyler.
Robin was born April 18th, 1975 at Mother Frances hospital in Tyler to Robert Jr. and Robin Stokes. She was raised in east Texas and through her adventures would return to her roots. She was a fun loving mother to her daughters Taylor, Bailey and Bella. Robin was a diva that would light up any room she entered. She caught the eye of her husband Jason very quickly. She filled her most famous role in life as Lovie when her grandson Axel was born in November of 2021.
Robin excelled in marketing and sales. She spent many years with the Blaze radio station. She was known for her sales abilities, and you might say she could sell ocean front property in Arizona.
She used this negotiation talent often as a child with her mother and perfected that talent as an adult. Robin grew up with her cousins that were her great friends through life Shannon, Jamie and Kathy. Robin had a host of many friends, and she never met a stranger! She loved babies and recently at a family Christmas her cousin s granddaughter Tootie had never met her and jumped into her arms. They giggled and played!
Robin was preceded in death by her grandmother Ruth Smiley and Edna Stokes, grandfathers Jack Smiley, Robert Stokes Sr. and Bill McGill, cousin Jacob Burrell, her aunt Pat Pope and aunt Jacque and uncle Bobby Kidd.
Robin is survived by her husband Jason Smith of Flint, daughter Isabella (Bella) Smith of Flint. Daughter Taylor Gaskamp and husband Jon of Tyler, Daughter Bailey Abildstrom and husband Kyle and Lovie’s beloved grandson Axel all of Bullard. Mother Robin and father Robert Stokes Jr. of Flint. Grandmother Nancy (Nanny) McGill of Arkansas, and Wanda Shackelford of Forney. Mother-in-law Linda and father-in-law Charles Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sister in laws Angela Morningstar and Jacquie Anthony of Tulsa Oklahoma. Cousin Shannon and Keith Gilbert of Bullard and their children Ty and Kylie. Jamie and Al Johnson of Quitman and their children Courtney and Brittney. Cousin Scott and Jennifer Pope of Lindale, and their son LT Norman of Lindale. Cousin Kathy Nash and husband Joe of Chandler and daughter Kaylen. Uncle Stephen and Aunt Linda Smiley of Tyler, and their children Stephanie, Courtney and Kimberly and their families.
Robin had a host of loving cousins, great nieces , nephews and special friends!
Visitation will be in Tyler at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home on Monday February 27th from 6-8pm.
If desired, memorials may be made to stjude.org

Our Robin was a true beauty! She had a spirit of Light, Love, Fun, Excitement, Style, and radiated Christ. She loved and gave her all to her family. She loved and lived for our Lord. She was genuine and real. I remember so many wonderful times talking and dreaming and planning with her. Her passion was cooking and she loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed and loved her girls and husband. Robin shines through in all of her girls. I'm so thankful for the Lord's plan of salvation and know that Robin is dancing in heaven in glory with family and our Lord. And that we will all be reunited in the blink of an eye. Robin, I love you so very much and will always remember your style, beauty, and grace! Go rest on that high mountain! Your smile would always light up a room. Your laughter brought joy to many.
Your children are your legacy
You will be missed dearly by so many.
We love you
Life is but a Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord
