Robin White-McCrary Obituary
Robin was the beloved daughter of the late Franklin Pierce Medford III and the late Darlene Kay Rhyne, and is also preceded in death by her younger brother, Franklin Medford IV of Longmont, CO. Robin shared her life with and is survived by her husband, Kirby McCrary of Winston-Salem, NC; her sister, Renay Hannon of Fairfax, VA; her daughter, Sierra Marrero of Coral Springs, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Evans and Taylor Evans of Coral Springs, FL; her adoring niece, Caleigh Haverland of Fairfax, VA; and her best friend, Diane Gibson of Winston-Salem, NC.
Robin dedicated much of her professional life to serving others. She worked at the Florida Department of Transportation in Fort Lauderdale and found her calling providing public assistance services throughout Florida following natural disasters. Her passion for helping people was evident in every aspect of her work and personal life.
Robin's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and niece, whom she adored with all her heart. She also found comfort and companionship in the company of her sweet cat, Lucy. Known for her boundless love for people and her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, Robin left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
May Robin's memory bring solace to those who loved her and inspiration to those who were touched by her kindness. All who wish to honor her life and memory are asked to donate to their favorite charity in Robin's name and honor.
A celebration of Robin's life is scheduled at-sea for Sunday, May 25th, off the Fort Lauderdale FL beaches where a portion of her ashes will be released into the waters she loved so much. Earlier that day, a private family ceremony will take place at Lauderdale Memorial Park to inurn the remaining portion of her ashes into the family's plot.

Robin and I worked at FDOT together. She was the one who trained and shared so much of her vast knowledge with me. She was a true inspiration and will always have a special place in my heart. I pray that the memories that we who love her hold dear will bring comfort and peace. Deepest condolences to her family.

Robin and I worked together at FDEM in the mid to late 2000s. By chance almost 20 years later we ran into each other again while I was working with Kirby. This really is a small circle.
Thank you for sharing your joy with us. You really brightened the room just by entering. Your smile was contagious and your demeanor always cheerful. Your spirit lives on through the hearts of all that were blessed to know you. May You Rest Well.
