The world is a little grayer without Rocky though it was dimming when Freda left us. Thank you Lombardo family for the time we shared when I lived with you briefly in the 1960s. What a wonderful loving fun household and great kids you are too. God bless you all at this difficult time. My Christmas card was returned so I then learned the sad news.
Thank you for sharing the love,
Brenda

I, like my sister Diana, fondly remember listening to 'uncle' Rocky singing Ghost Riders in the Sky as we lay in our beds in the trailer at Kemptville Provincial Park during the 60's. We are all blessed for having him as a family friend and will forever treasure our memories together. Peter and Laura Andrusek, Ottawa, Ontario

Deb, Dave , Tania and the rest of the Lombardo family. Our deepest condolences from our house to yours. We know how much he will be missed. I enjoyed eating pizza with him this past summer, while watching the rest of the boys working....He made me laugh!!!

Dear Debbie, Rocco, jr., Linda, Danny and Tony,
With sympathy and prayers in your time of mourning. Rocco will certainly be missed at St. James - we'll miss that wonderful voice from the back pew; the laughter and the warm welcomes and good-byes. We're better for having known him - I'm sorry I didn't meet him many decades ago!
May light perpetual shine upon him, and may his voice blend with the songs of the angels as he meets again his beloved Freda.
May the Lord deal graciously with you who mourn, that you may know the consolation of his love, and the love of family and friends who were touched by Rocco's friendship, and his love and kisses while he was with us on this earth.
With love, Margo Whittaker, St. James Anglican Church, Leitrim.

To all the Lombardo's,
The Lombardo and Andrusek families share many, many incredible memories of shared times visiting each other at our respective homes, camping each summer at Kemptville Provincial Park and also doing shows with the RATS. You have been my 'Uncle Rocky' ever since I can remember and always will be.
One of my most treasured remembrances is of you singing "Ghost Riders in the Sky" at Kemptville Provincial Park with the bonfire blazing, Uncle Lorney playing his guitar and the night sky teeming with brilliant/bright stars. I sat in awe as you sang your heart out to the heavens above. All of us were quiet in admiring silence.
I love you Uncle Rocky and will miss you. Once again, you can walk hand-in-hand with the love of your life, Aunt Freda. Be at peace.
Always my love, respect and regards ...

Deb and Dave, Linda and Bill and the rest of Rocky's Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great sorrow. Your Dad will be missed terribly. I have many fond memories of your Dad, and your Mom, as they were close friends of my Mom and Dad. Gregg has wonderful memories from when he worked summers at EMR and going to musicals with his parents at the RA.

Linda & Bill:
Our sincere condolences on the loss of sweet Rocco. He was a welcome addition to our family reunions. I think I remember him best out on Oak Lake on the pontoon boat. Just looked like he was the Captain of the ship. He will be dearly missed by so many. Please pass on to the rest of the family. cousins Dan and Laurel

Lombardo family,
My sincere condolences to you upon the passing of your father. Your mom and dad were treasured members of RATS and I enjoyed working with them there for several years. Rocco could really belt out a song to please the audience and I enjoyed accompaning him on the piano.

Dear Linda, Bill & Family
It was such a shock to read of your Dad's passing. Although we only knew Rocco briefly over the past few years, it was a pleasure knowing him, and his kind nature and energetic personality will be missed by many whose lives he touched. He put many smiles on people's faces through his fun-loving ways, and I know I will miss his teasing antics. Be blessed with the wonderful memories you share.

My family joins me in expressing our sympathy to you all for the loss of Rocco. It is at times like that we can reflect back on wonderful memories from our younger days when Freda and Rocco were part of the singing gang at the RATS. I think of all the hours that went into those productions and how much we enjoyed the company of the Lombardos. I know it will be a sad time for all but remember that Rocco brought a great deal of pleasure to many people through music. We are grateful for that. We still see Freda and Rocco busy in the kitchen at the annual St. James Harvest Supper at Leitrim arena. Both of them were totally dedicated to that little church. Thanks for the memories!
