Roderick Hunt Obituary
Roderick Denzel Hunt, born November 17, 1980 in Provo, Utah, died prematurely on Sunday, April 30, 2012.
Denzel lived in Montezuma Creek, Santa Clara, and Riverton, Utah. His parents are Roderick Joseph Hunt and Patrice Barton Hunt. He married Anna Patrice Rafferty on September 18, 2010.
Denzel joined the 2/222nd FA (Triple Deuce) February 26, 2000. He loved his military family and was dedicated to serving his country. He was deployed twice to Iraq and always served his country with honor. Denzel had a great zest for life. He deeply loved his family and friends and was always concerned for their welfare. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Anna, and step-daughter Bridger; parents, Rod and Patrice; siblings: Jaimi (Mike) Smith; Brandon (Tannya) Hunt; Kristy Jo Hunt; Amelia (Hans) Kirchhausen; Natalee Hunt; Dallin Hunt. Nieces and nephews include: Ben, Nikki, Kristen, Sarah, and Baby J.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Santa Clara Stake Center (1706 Desert Dawn, Santa Clara) on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior. Burial services will include Military Honors at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. (17111 So. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale). www.broomheadfuneralhome.com

Denz is one of the best friends I;ve ever had. He helped my family and I all the time without question. I look up to him as a big brother for advise and reasurance for any issue I have. I wish i had done more to help him in return. My family and I miss him more than words can express. Denz made me know under horrible circumstances by his mere presence that evertything would be alright. I felt safe with him. He is in the loving arms of the Saviour now and getting the help I could not provide. I love you Denz forever.

Rod & Patrice, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious son. Bruce and I also lost our daughter 6 years ago. It was her birthday this week. To each of you in the family just know that we love you, and yes we feel your pain and have some small understanding of the struggle we face as military families in dealing with the struggle and sometimes overwhelming difficulty of deployment separations and hardships it brings into our lives.
