OLIVARES Rogelio Barber Olivares, 76, went home to be with his Lord on April 7, 2009. He was born on January 18, 1933 in Michoacan, Mexico. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grand-father, who was cherished and loved dearly by his family. Rogelio is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Bernardina (Nina), sons; David Olivares, Sergio Olivares, and Mario (Judy) Olivares; daughters; Yolanda Olivares, Maria Estela Olivares, Maria Thelma (Jerry) Olivares, Joanna (Johnny) Flores, Angelina Olivares, Beatriz Jimenez and Alma Jimenez. Brother, Joaquin (Lupe) Olivares; grandchildren: Lisa Marie Olivares, Irma Dina Pimentel, Thaddeus Olivares, Vicente, Joseph, Elijah, and Benjamin Villegas, Melinda and Amanda Olivares, Madeline and Angelica Flores, Janie, Josie and Esmeralda Jimenez; great-grandson, Bryce Elliott Kinikin and numerous other great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at The Palms Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Cosmos Hospice for all their care and support. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Baldwin from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 10:00 at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Baldwin. Internment will be at Seaside Memorial Park.
