Roger Clubb

DOUDS — Roger L. Clubb, 82, of rural Douds died Nov. 20, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. He was born July 28, 1927, in Keokuk County to Peter and Elizabeth Clark Clubb. He married Pauline Eakins Dec. 26, 1955, in Oskaloosa. They farmed in Van Buren County and Roger was a maintainer operator for Van Buren County Secondary Roads Department, retiring in 1988. Camping and hunting with his grandchildren were his favorite hobbies. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Duane Clubb (Teri) of Stockport and Darrell Clubb (Cathy) of Keosauqua; three grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandon Clubb and Bridgette Wenke; a brother, Larry Clubb of South English; three sisters, Joan Grimm of What Cheer, Peggy Derby of Richland and Doris Owings of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Michael Clubb; four brothers, Russell, Rodney, Forrest and Gordan Clubb and two sisters, Allegra Cooney and Margaret Teeter. His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 28 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds; Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Visitation with family present will be 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.
