Roger Corbett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 27, 2025.
Roger Alan Corbett, 76, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Paris, Maine. Born on February 18, 1949, in Lewiston, Maine, Roger lived a life defined by his deep love for family, enduring friendships, and a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Airman from April 1966 to October 1969 aboard the USS Boxer (LPH-4). His time in the service was a formative chapter that instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie-qualities that would remain with him throughout his life.

A man of many talents and boundless curiosity, Roger was an accomplished welder, mechanic, and bodyman. His hands were rarely still; he had a gift for fixing things and took pride in mastering a wide range of skills. Whether it was restoring cars, tuning motorcycles, navigating rugged trails in a 4x4, or skimming across the water in a motorboat, Roger found joy in machines and motion. He generously shared his knowledge with others and became a mentor to many over the years-offering guidance not only in craft but also in character.

Roger's easygoing nature and affable spirit made him someone people gravitated toward. He had an innate ability to strike up conversations that turned into lifelong friendships. From his early days spent in Texas to his later years back home in Maine-and countless places along the way-he built lasting relationships that stood the test of time.

Above all else, Roger cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his son Corey; daughter Angela; grandchildren Michael, Connor, Zachary, and Katianna; great-grandson Wyatt; sister Debbie; niece Randi; and nephew Cale. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.

He was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Bobbie Corbett; brothers Terry and Michael.

Roger's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched-with kindness, humor, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire those he mentored along the way.

We will all miss you so, so much!
