Roger Davila Gonzalez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 31, 2025.
Roger Inez Davila Gonzalez Jr., 46, passed away on August 29, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, following an unexpected illness. Born on March 6, 1979, in the same city he called home, Roger brought a unique spirit and energy to those around him.

Roger is deeply mourned by his loving family: his mother, Anna Maria Davila-Avitua; his father, Roger Gonzalez Sr.; his sister, Courtney Davila-Gonzalez (Joseph Gonzalez); his stepsister, Irma Jean Avitua-Hernandez (Jose Hernandez); his stepdaughters Haley and Caroline Vitek; his nephew, Thomas Gonzalez; his aunts Christine Davila and Clarissa Cordova-Herrera (Carlos Herrera); his uncle David Davila (Lydia Barba); his great uncle Daniel Gonzales (Janie) and his cousin Laura Cordova-Jones (Anthony Jones, cousins Annabelle and AJ). Their memories of Roger will remain cherished and enduring.

He now joins in rest his beloved great grandmother Juanita Montanez; grandmother Mary B. Davila; grandfather Christopher G. Davila; uncles Christopher M. Davila Jr. and Henry Cordova; and cousin Larry A. Valadez Jr., whose memories continue to live on in the hearts of their family.

A memorial service for Roger will be held at a later date. May Roger's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may the laughter he shared echo warmly in their hearts forever.
