Roger A. McKenzie Roger A. McKenzie, 63, born in Elgin, to the late Alice and Ralph McKenzie, passed away on February 25, 2013 in Panama City Beach, FL. Roger lived most of his life in the Dundee area, graduating from Dundee Community High School in 1968. He also graduated from The University of Wyoming, where he played on the baseball team. Roger worked in the construction trade before retiring to FL. Being inducted into the Dundee-Crown Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007, Roger will be remembered for his athletic abilities, as well as his kind-hearted, fun-loving personality. Roger is survived by his "lady" Debbie Lax, sister Lynda McKenzie of Buckeye, Ariz., brother Larry McKenzie (Debbie Colbert) of Hampshire, half-brother Scott McKenzie of Chandler, Ariz., several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Roger will be greatly missed by his family, many dear friends and his beloved cat, Buck. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jim McKenzie. A celebration of Roger's life will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Village Squire in Dundee. Casual dress, Cubs attire and Hawaiian shirts are appropriate. Memorials may be made to the Dundee-Crown Athletic Hall of Fame or a charity of one's choice.

Had the opportunity to be friends and teammate to both Jim and Roger.
Both had unique talents, but Roger was special ...not just on the field, but in life.
