Dear friends and family ,
I knew Ron since the 60s while in the University of Detroit Chorus where he was not only a singer but also the photographer and recording engineer . Lost contact for half a century . In recent years I got on his joke referral list , and in the last year we worked together with Gerry Gruska to copy the many choral arraignments of Don Large to make them available to U of D alumni .
We shared hours of stories about working in the dark room in my dads basement . He had a great perspective of Don's personality .We had many laughs . I visited him in Oregon a few times and got the site seeing tour which of course included a visit to Tony Packo's for a gastronomical treat . Great stories .
Amazing adventures in the food business and world travel ,not to mention music and photography . I feel fortunate to have gotten to know him better in the last year . We shared our poor health experiences .
My cardiac issues prevented me from attending the service today .
My sincere sympathy to Nancy and the family . He will be missed by friends at U of D and me personally .

I had the pleasure of growing up next door to Ron and being his neighbor for several years. I have so many fond memories of him as a young girl growing up with his sons and then into my teen years when he offered me a job working in his Food Trailers making all kinds of fun stuff. Ron was our family photographer throughout my early life taking so many special photos of me and my family. As time has went on I didn't get to see Ron as much as I would like but those memories of him will live on and will never be forgotten.
