Roland J. "Joe" Drouin

Roland J. "Joe" Drouin 76, of North Street, Keene, NH, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, surrounded by family, following a period of failing health.

He was born in Berlin, NH on November 9, 1940, the son of Joseph and Gertrude I. (Fauteaux) Drouin.

A lifelong resident of Keene, Joe worked for the Keene Housing Authority for many years. He later worked for over 30 years with SAU 38, the Monadnock Regional School System in maintenance at the Mt. Caesar Elementary School where he enjoyed working with his fellow co-workers and with the children, and then part-time at the Monadnock Regional High School.

He loved putting together models and was in a CB club in the 60's and early 70's. He was an excellent dancer and loved the big band music. At one time, he actually took lessons in the sport of fencing. He was a great fan of the Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy. He has a zest for life and loved his family especially his mother, who died way too young. He especially enjoyed going to yards sales and the movies, along with visiting Old Orchard Beach in Maine, with his best pal and daughter, Angela.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Angela Trubiano and her husband, Christopher, of Keene, Robert D. Beach, Catherine Anne Jordan, Judith I. Sanipass; his grandchildren, Rachael I. Trubiano, Robert Joseph Beach, Paul Jordan, Alexandra "Lexie" Jordan, Nicole Melo, Katie Campbell, Devin Campbell, Benjamin Sanipass; his great-grandchildren, Avelyn Melo, Aria Melo, Gage Beach, Emmalynn Beach, and Tyson; and two brothers, Raymond Drouin and Leo Drouin.

Donations can be made at your local TD Bank in "Memorial Fund for Roland J. Drouin" to help with burial cost. Any additional funds will be donated.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Drouin will be held in the late spring early summer.

The family of Mr. Drouin would like to thank all of his health care providers that provided Joe with wonderful and caring treatment over the years. You are all "Angels"
