Roland Hicks Obituary
Roland R. Hicks born on July 16, 1966 went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2013 at the age of 46. He is survived by his loving wife Doria Hicks of 17 years and his children Elizabeth A. Hicks, and Westley S. Hicks, his parents Kenneth Dale Hicks Sr, and Ellen Mae Hicks, sisters, Lisa Mireles (Tony), and Amy Biddle (Kevin), and his brother Kenneth Hicks Jr. (Darlene) and numerous nieces and nephews. Roland was a caring and loving person who always gave his time and energy to organizations in Laredo. He was a sports physician for the Rattlesnakes football team, the Laredo Bucks hockey team, TAMI, and for the Laredo Community College. He had many professions from a Doctor of Chiropractic to a Registered Nurse. He was also working on his Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, 4PM at First Baptist Church in Somerset, Texas. A Memorial Service will also be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Laredo, Texas at First Baptist Church at 4PM.

Mrs. Hicks: I am so very sorry for your loss. It takes a special person to go back to school after earning a DC degree. Your husband must have been very dedicated to his patients and his family. I just graduated from the FNP program of Samford University.

The Hicks and Livingstons go a long way back. Growing up on James Street we shared secrets, rollerskates, bicycles, sleepovers and the forever famous "china berry wars!!" We will never forget our little Rolly Polly Roland, with the shaved blonde hair, sparkling eyes, big bright smile, and contagious laugh.
